That's actually what I'm doing now, but the downside is that I cannot reply to posts from my other email as it doesn't consider my email valid!
As my current role as consultant is not permanent, I'll look to create a new profile at a future time or send in a request to have my primary email address changed.

I had to dig into this a little bit. It is not possible to have an "alternate email" in the true sense, but if you go to your profile and email settings, you can have a secondary email that community communication emails are sent to.
So, maybe register with your "stage" email and have notifications sent to your main email?
Alternatively, the community is open to the public, so you can register with two (or more) accounts, but that probably does not address your specific situation.

I've got an interesting question I'm hoping you can assist me with. I currently login using the email address of a company for whom I am consulting, but I'm not actually an employee of that company (they just require me to use their email address to access their GC orgs.) I actually work for a GC partner and want to be able to reply to the community as a contributor from both my direct employer and also as a representative of the company I currently support.
Is it feasible to provide access to the community via two distinct email addresses or provide some type of alias that might support that? If not, would I need 2 distinct community profiles?
