  • 1.  AI is moving so fast - how is everyone keeping up?

Between AI announcements, new models, vendor updates and training content, I sometimes wonder whether anyone can truly keep up with everything!

I'd be interested to hear how this community approaches continuous learning in such a fast-changing space.

What are your go-to resources, habits or routines for staying current? And if you had to recommend just one resource, course, newsletter or community, what would it be?

Looking forward to learning from everyone's experiences.

It's slightly cyclical, but I like to use AI (Copilot when at work, Gemini at home) to summarise and drill into new things... so if I hear of a new capability I'll ask Copilot to summarise it - and be specific in the prompt, explain the format I want, the comparisons that I'd like etc.

As for resources, I like the quick-digest from TLDR - A Byte Sized Daily Tech Newsletter

Thanks Paul - thats a great tip, I like TLDR and have subscribed. I am wondering about the plethora of academy style training available from all vendors and hyperscalers , how to choose and priortise. Take the plunge and see if its fun, is how I am going about currently :-)!

    Hi Sanjana,

I know the feeling! 😄 It seems like every week there's a new AI capability, model or feature to explore.

For me, it's a combination of a few things:

Genesys Community – my go-to for real-world discussions, product updates and seeing how others are solving problems.

Genesys Release Notes – I use Gemini to summarise the release notes and highlight the features most relevant to my role. It saves a lot of time while still keeping me up to date.

Genesys certifications and instructor-led workshops – great for understanding the "why" behind new capabilities, not just what's changed.

Hands-on building – whether it's Architect workflows, bots, Knowledge, Agent Copilot or APIs, I find I learn the most by implementing and experimenting.

If I had to recommend just one resource, it would still be the Genesys Community. The combination of product updates, real customer experiences and the willingness of people to share their knowledge makes it invaluable.

Great point @Phaneendra Avatapalli - I took the Genesys Community for granted when I answered, of course that should be number 1!!!! 😁

Thanks @Phaneendra Avatapalli . I like the idea of using Gemini to summarise release notes and tailor them to what's most relevant. Agree that hands-on experience is where the learning really sticks.

    Hey, Sanjana!

I wish all LLMs had something like the OpenAI Cookbook. It's practical, well-documented, and focused on real use cases, which makes it much easier to move beyond just following announcements and actually apply what you're learning.

My workflow is pretty simple. I usually start with ChatGPT (and sometimes Claude) to quickly understand new announcements or compare features. For Genesys-specific questions, I use the Ask Me feature in Orchestrator to quickly find the right documentation or confirm my understanding.

Most of the time, though, I end up in the Genesys Community. Reading real questions and different points of view often teaches me things I wouldn't have thought to search for on my own.

I honestly don't think it's possible to keep up with AI by trying to read everything. The pace of innovation is simply too fast.

My approach has been to make AI part of my daily routine rather than treating it as another subject to study. I use it to brainstorm ideas, research unfamiliar topics, improve presentations, review technical designs, polish communications, and even challenge my own assumptions. The more I collaborate with it, the more I learn about what it can (and can't) do.

If I had to recommend just one resource, it wouldn't be a course or newsletter-it would be an AI assistant that you use every day. Hands-on experience has taught me far more than passively consuming articles or watching videos.

My advice: don't just read about AI... partner with it. The best way to learn AI is by putting it to work on real problems every day.
