What would be the best option: Visio? Draw.io? Confluence?

For fast adjustment or design, Draw.io. But I really like Confluence for organization.

I personally like Confluence, especially because you can keep the documentation organized in one place and also embed Draw.io diagrams directly into the page.

For me, this makes the documentation easier to maintain, review, and share with the team/customer. So I would probably go with Confluence + Draw.io embedded.

In my opinion, the choice between Draw.io and Visio depends a lot on the tools your company already uses.

If the company is strongly based on the Microsoft ecosystem, Visio can work very well, especially when multiple people need to edit the same diagram at the same time.

I have tried collaborative editing with Draw.io before, and in my experience it did not always synchronize as smoothly, which sometimes caused data or changes to be lost.

On the other hand, Draw.io is very flexible and adapts well to both Google and Microsoft environments, which makes it a good option when teams use different toolsets.

So I think there is not one single best option. It depends on the company's ecosystem, how many people need to collaborate, how often the diagrams are updated, and where the documentation is maintained.

I've created a Claude Code Plugin (more details here) that can produce dependency graphs between flows and resources they depend on.

I'm gathering feedback, and documenting my learnings whilst creating it. It's also very early stages so would love to hear what other people are doing with AI for visualising flows.

My plugin will produce diagrams when asked. e.g.

Create a diagram showing flow <UUID> and all its dependencies

Or

Create a diagram showing the high level dependencies between flows only, starting from flow <UUID>

The output looks like below:

I like to use the draw.io, and i saw my company teammates usingo one cllaed MIRO. And i really liked, because you can share with antoher teammates in real time where you wanna look into the flow designy. Its like two people in a same world map.

For flow diagrams, I'm using draw.io. I find it interesting to use Excalidraw also for explanation drawings, literally haha
