Thank you for the clarity. The line "Anyone in the org" (regardless of license) can view it has been ask for a while for customers. Ideally it would be nice for a communicate user to view the dashboard with no other license consumption. (CX1/2/3 or Wallboard etc.)

@Steven Alix - "Public" mode for the dashboards is the current functionality, which requires CX licensing and the view permission for the dashboards. In the above post, I highlighted all the available options to clarify that this feature adds to the existing capabilities without affecting the current functionality.

When you say "Public: anyone can view....". Would that include users without CX licensing? Communicate or even Collaborate users? Or is it anyone with a CX permission and also the permission to view dashboards?

With this feature, dashboards will exist in one these three modes
- Public: Anyone in the organization can view it; Owner can view and edit the dashboard
- Private: Only the dashboard owner can view and edit the dashboard
- Shared: Only the users or work teams can view the dashboard that's been shared with them; Owner can view and edit the dashboard
Please note that this feature will be available only for dashboards created in or converted to the new responsive UI. To be part of this beta, the new UI beta needs to be enabled for your organization.
This feature can be accessed directly from the dashboard or from the dashboard summary page, as shown below:
