My organization is interested in using the new Legal Hold Protection Feature, to protect Recordings, even if there is a Policy to delete in place. I could successfully apply the Protection for a Recording through the User Interface. However when I used the Get Conversation Recording Metadata APi, I could not see the Protected field. I also couldn't find such a field in the Put Retention metadata API. I have the required rights. Is It even possible to access the Protected field through the APIs? Or am I doing something wrong?

It appears that the APIs for this feature were overlooked when releasing the feature. Please open a case with Genesys Cloud Care to report these missing APIs. Opening a case will help prioritize getting the missing APIs released.

When you say "Genesys Cloud Care", do you mean the Customer Center portal where I can raise tickets for issues related to my organization's Genesys Cloud instance? If not, please provide a link.

Yes, Tim was referring to the "My Support" portal where you can raise tickets. The one mentioned here: https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/contact-purecloud-care/
