Summary
The KnowledgeAnswerConfig and AnswerGenerationConfig fields are being deprecated. These fields are currently used to enable Answer Highlights for Manual and Auto Search, as well as Answer Generation settings for Manual Search in Copilot.
They are being replaced by two new fields:
• AutoSearchConfig
• ManualSearchConfig
These new fields clearly separate configuration for Auto Search and Manual Search functionality

Details
This change improves clarity and flexibility by separating Copilot answer generation and answer highlight settings for Auto Search and Manual Search scenarios.
To maintain backward compatibility:
• The legacy fields (knowledgeAnswerConfig and answerGenerationConfig) will continue to be accepted in API requests.
• During processing, legacy fields will be mapped to the new configuration structure for internal storage.
• API responses will include both the legacy fields and the new fields.
No immediate action is required, but customers are encouraged to begin using AutoSearchConfig and ManualSearchConfig in preparation for future removal of the legacy fields.
