Three years ago, my family and I forged a friendship that turned into brotherhood, because we learn more each day about what love, loyal friendship, overcoming challenges, sharing, and achievements truly mean, and I am immensely grateful for all of this and so much more!
That's why today we celebrate with great joy this day, where in reality, every day is a day when we must have an empathetic, caring, and thoughtful perspective, knowing that each person is unique, and that's what makes the world more beautiful. π
March 21st is International Down Syndrome Day! ππ
The "Lots of Socks" campaign π§¦, celebrated worldwide on this day, inspires us to value diversity in a lighthearted, fun, and meaningful way. By wearing mismatched and colorful socks, we represent, in a simple and symbolic way, that being different is something natural, beautiful, and essential.
The date 21/03 was not chosen by chance; it represents Trisomy 21.
More than a symbolic gesture, this is an invitation to reflect and talk at home. Children learn primarily by example.
Talk naturally about differences; in this way, we help build essential values ββsuch as respect, empathy, acceptance, and love for others π
It's important to show our children that each person has their own time, their own characteristics, their own talents, and their own way of learning and expressing themselves-and that's okay π
The world doesn't need identical people.
He needs people who know how to coexist, respect, and value what makes each person unique β¨

I've already chosen mine ππ§¦π
