Hi, Is it possible to dispatch DTMF into a conversation while being in the IVR (architect flow), without a user connected? I am receiving the error: "Conversation does not contain active user", please advise.

This error message is correct. Only a user can do that; client credentials cannot interact with conversations except to get/set participant attributes.

why cannot I submit a DTMF to an active call if there's no user involved? Any permissions I can give to SA (service account)?

This isn't limited to your specific scenario and isn't a permissions issue; client credentials are generally disallowed from interacting with calls by design. You can request new features and share your use case at https://purecloud.ideas.aha.io/ideas.
