Hi All,

We have query regarding Dell Wyse thin clients configuration where user raised below query .

I think when our users are working from home and using their own laptops etc, it is fairly easy to set up and use Media Helper, as they can simply open a browser window on their endpoint (home device) and log in to media helper.

The challenge is when the users are in the office. In this case, the only endpoint is the Dell Wyse thin client. This is really just a linux os Dell thin client with a BIOS package and a couple of application packages. There is no option/method to open a browser window and run Medial Helper on the thin client, so the question is how this should be approached to correctly run Media Helper on the Thin Client.

Your help on this matter will be much appreciated.

From these, WebRTC Media Helper is designed to run outside of the VDI/Citrix session and handle media directly on the endpoint. In thin client setups like Dell Wyse, where there may not be an option to run a local browser or launch Media Helper, this can be a limitation of the endpoint rather than a Genesys configuration issue.

The VDI/Citrix article and community discussion also suggest that if Media Helper cannot be used, WebRTC may still work through the virtual desktop, but that usually requires additional testing/tuning and may come with audio or USB device limitations.

Hopefully someone from the community who has implemented this with Dell Wyse thin clients can share their approach as well.
