Our company is looking into PCI Compliance and we have a question for the community.
Is it possible to integrate from PureCloud directly to Moneris & back without having translation tables between them?
If there is a step between PureCloud & the third party, we would be responsible for ensuring this is also PCI Compliant, which wouldn't be optimal for us.
- Can the information be translated/packaged within PureCloud before sending?
- What format would the information be coming back from Moneris, and could PureCloud read this within the system?
- Does there have to be a stepping stone between them?
This is my first reach out in the community developer form, so I am hoping someone knows something.. My next step is reaching out to Moneris & our Dev team.
thanks!

Generally we support interfacing with REST or GRAPH API based web resources. As far as I can tell, Moneris does not fit this description, as their interfaces are all SOAP/XML based (under the hood of their various SDKs). This implementation on their part requires that there be some intermediary that can convert REST based requests to their SDK (or SOAP/XML) format.
With that said, Lambda Data Actions would be an ideal intermediary, as it is one of the AWS PCI Compliant Services (https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/security/aws-adds-12-more-services-to-its-pci-dss-compliance-program/) and can have access restricted to only be accessible to PureCloud via data action invocation. https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/about-the-aws-lambda-data-actions-integration/
If this is not an approach you're willing to explore, I would recommend engaging with Moneris to see if there has been any progress on their end towards building a modern web interface.
