We plan to turn on "transcription" feature in purecloud and use API to retreive transcription text for future. And we heard to do that, we need to enable "Dual Channel", so just wonder:
- Is "enabling dual channel" a pre-codition to enable "transcription" feature?
- If we turn on "dual channel" feature ( 'line recording" is on), will it becomes 2 recording files or still 1 mono reording for us to retrieve via API?
Best Regards!

It's one recording, but using multiple channels instead of mixing them into one mono channel. Per https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/enable-line-recording/
When you enable the Dual Channel setting, the system saves each channel of the recording in a separate stream. The system uses audio channel 0 to save the external participant recording and audio channel 1 to save the internal participant recording.
