March Question of the Month!

  • 1.  March Question of the Month!

    Posted 23 days ago

    Hello everyone!

It's March and NEW things are coming your way as spring finally starts to march its way into the Genesys Community! I'm hinting right here and now that we have two new communities we'll be introducing soon! These sites will give everyone even more opportunities to connect with others, ask questions, and  share knowledge about Genesys Cloud,.

And hey! Since we have these new communities coming along, it's a great time to get to know one another better. With that in mind...

If you were to take four celebrities (fictional or non-fictional) and blend their personas together, what combination would best capture your personality?
Let us know in the comments below!

    I'll go first:
If I blended four celebrities to come up with my personality, it would be

    1. Jennifer Lawrence for her down to earth, can hang with the boys attitude
    2. Lucille Ball for her silly humor and clumsiness
    3. Emma Watson for her passion for standing up for what is right
    4. Rebel Wilson for her no-holds barred, you-never-know-what's-going-to-come-out-of-her-mouth edginess

Can't wait to hear who sums you up!

Oh goodness. Let's see... Based on my personality, I'd say my celebrity mix might look something like this:

    1. Kristen Bell – She's a Disney nerd (hello, Frozen), loves musicals, has a bubbly yet introverted side, and is known for being sweetly naive but whip-smart.

    2. Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler's character in Parks and Rec) – My love for analytics, nerdiness, working in local government, and inadvertently funny nature screams Leslie Knope energy-passionate, deeply invested in things I care about, and sometimes hilariously unaware of social cues.

    3. David Tennant – As a fellow nerd, he's an introverted, highly analytical actor who loves Disney, sci-fi, and musicals (Good Omens, Doctor Who). Plus, he has that mix of being both deeply intellectual and delightfully awkward.

    4. Zooey Deschanel – She's quirky, introverted, loves musicals (She & Him), and is naturally funny in an offbeat way (New Girl). She also gives off a "naively optimistic but deeply intelligent" vibe.

A solid mix of intellect, nerdiness, creativity, and unintentional hilarity! I think that captures it pretty well.

    Hello

If I blenden three three movie characters:

    • Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter): a blend of shyness and quirkiness
    • Frodo (The Lord of the rings):  not naturally adventurous but persevering when I find myself in it
    • Amélie Poulain (Amélie): introverted, and a bit of a dreamer

    In no particular order:

    1. Leslie Knope (Parks & Rec) - nature lover (she works for the parks dept after all) and super nerd; stands up for what she believes in
    2. Liz Lemon (30 Rock) - equal parts lovable curmudgeon and hilarious leader; owns her nerdy side
    3. Kate Miccuci (of Garfunkel & Oates fame, among other things) - quirky, musical, and occasionally awkward
    4. Chidi Anagonye (The Good Place) - full of smarts and a serious over-thinker

Amy, I think you and I may be kindred spirits of sorts.

I know you pretty well Nicole and the fact that you included Lucille Ball makes me very happy!

    For me...

    1. Garfield the Cat - I like naps, lasagna, have a dry personality, Halloween is my favorite holiday, dread Mondays, and I'm probably better on page than screen?
    2. Randy - From "Scream!" Yes, the video store friend who knows all the movies and tropes, because I definitely do! I also love horror films in particular and, in the event something suspicious happens to me, I will probably pass along overly detailed messages to help my friends and family.
    3. Trey Parker - I just saw the "Casa Bonita Mi Amor" documentary and the amount of detail that he put into what two skeletons say in front of cave or what shirt the prospecting fortune teller should wear is definitely the kind of attention I put into small things in my work (with apologies to Nicole and Jason).
    4. Harry - From "When Harry Met Sally," not that punkish boy wizard (joking). I don't know. The OG Harry just resonates with me.

Can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with.

hmmm...this is a tough one for me....let's go with fellow Scorpios:

    1. Ryan Reynolds due to his (sometimes wildly inappropriate) sense of humor and also his fiercely protective nature of his family
    2. Gabriella Union for her zero BS tolerance
    3. Winona Ryder for her quirkiness and ability to take on unusual roles
    4. Though not a Scorpio, but Sly Stallone due to his artistic creativeness (painting) and his ability to knock someone out. :)

    Hmmm...

Tom Selleck - for the look I used to have when I was still in the Navy :-)

C-3PO for the sometimes clueless deadpan

R2-D2 for the faithfulness, got-your-back dedication

Sir Alec Guinness for the somewhat antique warrior who can still (kinda) hold his own

This is a tough one.. I had to consult friends of mine to help lol I also don't know many celebrities' personalities so fictional characters it is!

    1. Charles Boyle from B99, I tend to have a lot of quirks like him, a little annoying but extremely loyal
    2. Tina Belcher from Bobs Burgers, I'm a little awkward sometimes and tend to be passionate about hobbies/interests
    3. Chandler Bing from Friends I swear no one knows what I do for work! I'm also goofy and a little immature
    4. Timothy McGee from NCIS I am a huge nerd and I find myself being analytical like him. I always wanted to be like him when I grew up

Woah, what a question! I'd be more interested in hearing what my wife thinks, but these are the best I can think of now!

    • Jim Halpert (The Office) - Love his sense of humor and quiet personality at times
    • Jon Bernthal - Just a manly man. Straight forward and to the point.
    • I can't think of others.......

That's a fun question! If I had to blend four personalities to capture my vibe, I'd say:

    1. Sherlock Holmes – Analytical, logical, and always eager to solve problems. I thrive on figuring things out and making connections.
    2. Tony Stark (Iron Man) – Witty, knowledgeable, and a little bit of a show-off when it comes to explaining things. I like to keep things engaging and fun.
    3. Oprah Winfrey – Supportive, insightful, and a great conversationalist. I genuinely enjoy understanding people and helping them in meaningful ways.
    4. R2-D2 – Reliable, resourceful, and full of surprises. I might not have beeps and boops, but I've got a knack for coming through in a pinch.

Might be me "projecting" what I want my blend to be:

Ray Kinesella (Kevin Costner character in "Field of Dreams"): baseball, family, setting things "right" .... "is this heavan, no it's Iowa"

William Wallace: love of family (wife), country and freedom - a patriot

Norm Peterson from "Cheers": self-depraciating, sense of humor, friend to all "Norm"!

Forest Gump: he is simple, but not stupid! Loyal, dependable

Bugs Bunny- quick wit, outspoken and likes carrots

Scarlett Johansson- likes to laugh and not to be underestimated

    I would say:

    • Tim Robinson - from I Think You Should Leave; the awkwardness and comedy stye; very relatable
    • Peter Parker - from spider man; for the non-serious nature but serious when it comes down to the wire.
    • Luca Doncic - from NBA; celebrity look a-like
    • Hiccup - from how to train your dragons; lots of personal growth and relatable
