Permissions are enabled through scopes or roles when creating / editing an OAuth client. For more information on creating / editing an OAuth client see this article on Creating an OAuth Client. For more information on scopes see OAuth Scopes

If you are using your application before October 1st then you don't have to update the permissions on your OAuth client. If you're using the application after October 1st you'll have to follow the steps in the guide above and edit your OAuth client to add the necessary permissions.

It is advised to set the permissions you require as soon as possible. The OAuth Client interface is easy to use and setting the permissions will only take a few minutes.
