Hello,
I am placing calls via the api and integrating with a third party for contacts. I am able to successfully call the api and place a call for a user, but I noticed that the call does not start actually dialing until the agent focuses the genesys cloud window in their browser. Is this intended behavior, or could we work around this by chance?

I don't believe this is intended behavior, but it's unrelated to the API. Please open a case with Genesys Cloud Care to investigate the issue with the UI.
