Routing-SMS permissions issue

    Hi,

    If I try and access the list of avaialble SMS numbers for provisioning via the endpoint:

    https://api.{{environment}}/api/v2/routing/sms/availablephonenumbers

    I get the following result:

    { "status": 403, "code": "missing.permissions", "message": "Unable to perform the requested action. You are missing the following permission(s): [sms:phoneNumber:add]" }

    Also, if I try and access the list of provisioned SMS phone numbers via the endpoint:

    https://api.{{environment}}/api/v2/routing/sms/phonenumbers

    I get the response:

    { "status": 403, "code": "missing.permissions", "message": "Unable to perform the requested action. You are missing the following permission(s): [sms:phoneNumber:view]" }

    I have tried to add these permissions using an account with admin and master admin roles, but neither appears in the list of available permissions. How do I add these permissions to the role in question?

    Hello Austen,

    SMS features require the PureCloud 3 license. Please see this Resource Center article for more information. You may enable this feature by contacting your designated Customer Success Manager or emailing CloudSales@genesys.com.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Unless I'm reading this wrong, I do have a PureCloud 3 license? This is from Admin -> People and Permissions -> People

    If you are not seeing the SMS permissions at all in your org even when selecting to see all permissions in admin, it could be that you did not sign the additional contract required to get this functionality. You should be able to contact your Genesys advisor or email CloudSales@genesys.com as noted here: https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/about-acd-messages/
