Has anyone investigated creating a Web Data Connector for Tableau to access historical queue data through the Analytics API?

In the nearby future we are gonna test / start with web data connector for Tableau. What is your current status?

I didn't get very far. I had a hard time getting the Tableau examples to work properly. And, the throttling requirements of the Analytics API took me in a direction where I think we're going to use a Windows service to pull data on intervals into a local SQL server instead of directly connecting Tableau to the API.

That said, if you do get it working, we may be interested in purchasing it from you in the future.

    Thanks!

That's exactly what I'm doing. We are also looking at pulling conversation details reports into an into an intermediary no-sql database

    Hi All

Has there been any further developments in being able to extract Interactions data so that Tableau can be used for reporting?

There's not an existing configuration, but you can create one for https://github.com/MyPureCloud/open-data-exporter.

As i'm none technical but can navigate around some JSON using the Postman tool-set. Are there any examples to show how i can retrieve basic QUEUE metrics or Agent activity reports?

for example Retrieve all Wrapup codes added by Agent XX between 8:00am - 5:00pm on dd/mm/yy cheers

The Call Detail Report example would be a good start. You would need to use a new transform to pick the agent segment with the wrap up code and flatten the data structure and then edit the template accordingly.

If you wanted to go for minimal effort, you could just add a column to the template for wrap up code and update the transform to find the wrap up code and copy it to the participant so it's the correct place for the template.

Before going the custom route, I'd suggest reviewing the OOTB reports to see if any fit your needs: https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/about-reports/
