Hi Richard,
Thanks for confirming that Functions are now GA that's great to hear.
You mentioned the documentation in your reply, but I don't see a link included. Would you mind sharing it when you get a chance? I'll also review the limitations page as suggested.
Appreciate your help.

Yes, Functions went Generally Available quite some time ago. Here's the documentation worth reviewing. Please also be sure to review the "Limitations" page, as this often goes overlooked and can sometimes hang up implementations.

Dear All,
This looks like a very promising capability. Could you please confirm whether Genesys Cloud Functions is still in beta, and if there are any updates on the expected timeline for General Availability (GA)?
We're currently working on an integration with BMC Helix where the /api/jwt/login endpoint returns a JWT token as text/plain. Since Web Services Data Actions in Genesys Cloud strictly require application/json responses, the call is rejected before we can process the token. This limitation is preventing us from completing the integration without introducing middleware.
Would Genesys Cloud Functions provide the flexibility to handle non-JSON responses and custom authentication workflows like this? If so, we're hopeful this capability could address our use case once it becomes generally available.
Appreciate any updates or insights you can share.
Thanks!

Yes, the beta is still open. GA dates are always a tentative thing due to a number of factors, but the current target is early in calendar Q1 of 2025.

Functions is still in an active beta and accepting new participants. We are still tracking towards a release later this year, dependent on some additional UI work to enable us to finalize the UI required for complete administration of functions.
