    Hi everyone,

    I need your help regarding an error I'm getting in Architect.

    When I try to use the "Call Bot Flow" action inside an Inbound Flow, I receive the following error:

    The 'Call Bot Flow' action cannot be used when a flow supported language is configured to use the 'Genesys TTS' text to speech engine. Please change the text to speech engine configured on the following language: French (fr-fr).

    The flow language is configured to French (fr-fr) and currently uses Genesys TTS.

    Has anyone faced this issue before?

    What would be the recommended best practice in this case?

    Hello Ragheb,

    I found this thread that confirms you need to use the Genesys Enhanced TTS engine: Call Bot Flow can not be used

    Thank you for your message.

    On my side, I only have Genesys TTS available. The Genesys Enhanced TTS engine is not available in my environment.

    Could you please advise how I can enable it?

    So Genesys Enhanced TTS is a premium feature that can be enabled from the AppFoundry, further details can be found here: Install Genesys Enhanced TTS from the AppFoundry

    Hello,

    Indeed a bot flow cannot be used if the TTS engine used is the standard "Genesys TTS".

    Also note the information regarding billing in the Resource Center:

    If you only use it in the Bot Flows-

    • Genesys Enhanced TTS is included free of charge when used in Architect bot and voice survey flows.

    Hi George,

    Thanks for the information.

    In my Bot Flow, I can see Genesys Enhanced TTS 1, 2 and 3, and I selected Genesys Enhanced TTS 3 for the language configuration.

    However, when I call this Bot Flow from an Inbound Flow , I receive the following error:

    Error alert with message
    The 'Call Bot Flow' action cannot be used when flow supported languages are configured to use the 'Genesys TTS' text to speech engine. Please change the text to speech engine configured on the following languages: English (en-us) and French (fr-fr).

    Do you know how to resolve this issue?

    Hello Ragheb,

    According to this previous discussion https://community.genesys.com/discussion/genesys-dialog-engine-call-bot-flow-action-tts-requirement-for-voice-flow  I mentioned  before,  the settings you are seeing in the bot flow are related to the STT (speech to text) engine used by the bot.

    The TTS engine is set  in the calling inbound call flow. If it is set to "genesys TTS" there, the bot flow invocation fails.

    I agree that it is quite confusing.

    Maybe someone from Genesys can confirm/clarify.

    You explained it correctly, Marcelo. The Bot Flow uses whatever TTS engine is specified on the Call flow that calls the Bot flow. No separate TTS config on Bot flows.
