For years I've watch folks in demos who would type something in the Old Admin search bar and I'd think, "How odd...why not just scroll to where it is?"
Now I have succumbed and I usually just Search, as Robert says. Unless I am adventurous and I think I know the four clicks needed to get where I want to go, and I have extra time to get lost along the way.

Three words - Use Global Search. I have been using the new UI for a couple of months now and still get lost. I just use the search now. I had Zoltan add the old terminology so either old or new will bring up the new link. Also, Architect now pulls up in a new tab unlike the beta, where it popped into the same tab - really annoying.

Subject: Admin navigation with new UI
From an admin perspective, I've noticed using the new UI appears to slow me down compared to the old UI and I think it's more than learning the new UI. Has anyone else experienced similar?
With the previous UI, these were my typical navigation steps. Rarely did I use search for locating a configuration page
- Click Admin menu
- Potentially scroll to see needed configuration name
- Click name
With the new UI, I navigate the menus which may involve 3 or 4 clicks to reach the same configuration page. I can also search, which is faster than the menu navigation, but it doesn't feel as fast as my steps with the old UI since I click the search box, move from mouse to keyboard and type. I could complete the old-UI steps with just the mouse.
Is there a faster out of the box alternative that I'm missing? If anyone has the same experience, did you have a clever solution for it?
Thanks
