    I'm not a member of the AMA Expert team, but I'd love to chime in on this while they are busy answering some tech questions. 

    When I walked in for my interview, someone opened the door for me using their badge, and they were surprised when I asked for directions, responding, "Oh, you look like you work here!" That's an incredible first impression, signaling I've found the right culture.

    As luck would have it, that mysterious stranger who let me in the door is now my amazing director. It was definitely funny that we were both heading to the same interview and I think we realized instantly that we share similar senses of humor.

    In my actual interview, talking with my future teammates, I felt immediate camaraderie. I mean, there was a question about go-to karaoke song. It's the first time in my life that I left the interview, went home and told my SO that I'd love to not just work with that group, but hangout with them as well.

    Hi everyone,

    For me it is simple because I had many friends that I knew who worked at Genesys.  My friends recommended that I apply because of my past IT experience and the rest is history.   I really enjoy working for Genesys because I get to be involved with cutting edge technology and troubleshooting interesting issues.  :)

    Don't mind me answering my own question... I'm newly graduated, so I actually get this question a lot from my friends back home. My recent jobs/internships included a lot of government work, and what I learned in those roles is that I wanted to work somewhere where I could creatively solve problems. Genesys presented me with the opportunity to do so immediately. I knew it would be a great place for me to start my career and develop my craft. I guess meeting @Matt Lawson and @Clay Tison was pretty convincing too ;)
