    So I'm guessing we're about to go through another name and logo change?

    Genesys "PureCloud" > "Genesys Cloud" > Genesys "Cloud CX"



    Can we make this name change the last one for at least 2 years?

    Does this mean mypurecloud.* will eventually be genesyscloudcx.* :)  If they're going to do that they might want to go and register it now - it's still available to the squatters ;)

    I had a conversation with a Genesys exec yesterday about positioning of ININ vs Genesys cloud products and as hard as I tried, could not stop from busting out loud laughing at the marketing speak.

    We need to shift some paradigms, revolutionize outside the box.

    But seriously - the continual rebranding of products by Genesys just weakens their market presence - as not even the existing vendors and customers can remember what to call it.

    For me, it will always be PureCloud.

    Is it really Genesys CX now instead of Genesys Cloud?  Everything we have still says PureCloud.  I am starting to transition all of our training documents to say Genesys Cloud for the start of this school year.  Should it all be Genesys CX now?

    Based on the website product detail (and see screenshots below), I would say the answer is a resounding "yes, Genesys Cloud is now Genesys Cloud CX" and will most likely be marketed as such from this point forward.

    Personally, I think this is just another marketing ploy to cause others to catch up.  I think it dilutes the "all-in-one" message and makes if feel like Genesys Cloud is either not complete or requires something else.  Just from looking at these descriptions, if I had no idea what Genesys Cloud is, I would be thinking I need 3 different things to have a cloud contact center that has voice of the customer and digital channels.  Much like Five9 saying you need about 4 other products just to create a complete solution.  ININ and Genesys have prided themselves on not having to rely on 3rd-party solutions and now marketing makes it sound like Genesys Cloud is not enough.

    You and most users.  It is difficult to get them to change when they have to go to the "mypurecloud" web site, etc.  People have been speaking in URL since we started "googling it."

    I recognize the immense effort required to safely change domain & host names and ensuring DNS is proper throughout the process.  However, there is a challenge in explaining the source of the domain name:  "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain."

    If it makes anyone feel any better, I was just on an internal meeting and got my wires crossed about a name change, so you are not alone. Not to mention (sigh) so much wasted footage of the Q&A Show where I said PureCloud vs Genesys Cloud.
