We went live with GC in November 2023 using only the WebRTC softphone in the Chrome/Firefox browsers deploying the GCBA to all agent computers. The only drawback is if the edge servers have an issue, your whole call center has issues. Overall, it's been stable and I highly recommend it over the thick client.

Subject: Anyone using the Chrome Install web page as an App for Genesys Cloud?
Hi Shane,
We are currently running it in parallel with the "plain" desktop version. Seems to work pretty will in Windows desktop 10 and 11, although we have seem an odd issue with screen recording going black. You will have to install the Genesys Cloud Background Assistant in order to have screen recordings with the web version.

Subject: Anyone using the Chrome Install web page as an App for Genesys Cloud?
Hi all,
Has anyone tried the Chrome browser option to install the Genesys Cloud site as an App?
It seems to load GC in its own container that you can pin to your taskbar. It also seems to make browser based screen pops a little smoother. Curious if anyone has tested or tried this with any success (or challenges)?
