The Apple Messages for Business team is excited to share that Apple Invitations are coming soon to Genesys Cloud!
With Apple Invitations, organizations will be able to proactively invite customers to connect with their business through Apple Messages for Business. This gives businesses a new way to reach customers with important, timely updates while providing customers with control over whether they want to start the conversation.
Today, Apple Messages for Business conversations require the customer to initiate the interaction. With Apple Invitations, businesses will be able to send an invitation to a customer's iPhone, giving the customer the option to connect with the business. Once the customer accepts the invitation, a two-way Apple Messages for Business conversation can begin.
Organizations will be able to use Apple Invitations to support a variety of proactive service experiences, such as order and shipping updates, travel and booking changes, transaction or fraud alerts, appointment reminders, and inviting customers to move from a voice interaction to messaging.
Administrators will be able to configure Apple Invitations in Genesys Cloud, and businesses can trigger them using the Agentless API. When a customer accepts an invitation, Genesys Cloud can bring their response into the conversation, helping automated experiences and agents have the context they need to continue assisting the customer.
