    We would like to assign a single number to a consultant for both voice and SMS communications with our customers. We recall seeing that this feature would be available in Genesys. Is this functionality currently available, or is it planned for the future?

    Hi Adrian,

    As far as I can tell, this is still unavailable, but I did find this Idea in the Genesys Cloud Product Ideas Lab: SMS - Voice & SMS on same number

    I would recommend voting on the idea and adding your use case

    One number SMS is available. It requires some manual work by the SMS team but you can definitely have a single number for both SMS and your did and your fax. I would contact the SMS provisioning team for the documents that you need and they can help you to get the process going.
