  • 1.  Authenticated webmessaging bot with out using a hosted website.

We are planning to build a web messenger using Genesys and implement authentication with it, i have created Genesys bot and configured openID Connect Messenger, but we don not have a hosted website to integrate the bot. Is there a way to demo the bot with out using an actual website ?

I'm not sure I fully understand what you mean by demoing the bot, but if you want to render web messaging and use the flows and witness the customer experience you can do this on the developer site.

You can also just embed the code into a google sites page and it will render or you could use an injection tool to place the code on the site temporarily to see how it would look on the public facing website of the customer.

When i use the gdemo extension or the web messenger tool provided by genesys, Web messenger is not being rendered. However if i disable the authentication, the messenger is rendered with out any issue. Will the gdemo and webmessenger work with authentication enabled flow ?

I suspect that you can't. Authenticated Web Messaging requires that the user have already passed authentication to be able to start a message. If you inject the code snippet on the site, you then need to go through the authentication process to make the icon appear.
If the url domain changes after login then the injection tool will most likely also break and not continue to render. I believe it necessary to use a real site, a test or dev site in yours or your the customers environment so that you can deploy snippet, go through authentication, then start a conversation.

If you want to render Genesys Web Messenger in a website for a demo without altering the actual website, then you can use any number of script injection browser plug-ins.  I use one for Chrome called Tamper Monkey (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/tampermonkey/dhdgffkkebhmkfjojejmpbldmpobfkfo?pli=1) that let's me inject the Genesys Web Messenger snippet into any website I choose so that I can demo what the real experience on the website would be.
