    Hello,

I am confused on how ABM works. I thought ABM is pulling data from the previous 6 weeks for when I run a forecast, and then I am reading that it uses all historical data. Does this include historical data that was imported into Genesys? Is it only pulling from the last 6 weeks? Or is it something different?

    Hi Cory

ABM forecasting looks at all of the available historical data - in the Cloud as well as any historical data you have imported. 6 weeks applies to weighted historical data, but even then, you can choose which weeks - it doesn't have to be the previous 6 only. This article is really useful for explaining how ABM works:

    Hi Cory!

Heather is correct.  ABM using any and all data that it can find both inside of Genesys Cloud and anything uploaded via the Historical Data Import.

The 6 weeks that you are referencing is likely the Forecasting weeks that you put in at the Business Unit level.  This designation only applies to the Weighted Historical Data imports.  It determines the # of weeks that are pulled into the forecast initially, but users can add up to a total of 8 source days per day of the week.
