    Hi All,

    We are in the process of porting a couple hundred numbers to Genesys. I would like to know if there is a way to automate having to assign each number ported a call route. Currently, our numbers point to a main menu on our on-prem system. Once ported to Genesys we would like to assign them to our main menu in Genesys. From my understanding, when I've ported numbers, I have had to go in and assign the numbers a call route. How can I go about making sure numbers ported to Genesys automatically get assigned a call route?

    Unfortunately, there is not a capability that I am aware of to have newly ported numbers automatically assigned to a Call Route.

    You can look at doing it through an API call, or perhaps using the CLI...or even CX as Code. I don't know if that would be quicker.

    If the purpose is to avoid service disruption, I'm not 100% on this but I vaguely think that last time I ported some numbers, they were visible in Genesys Cloud before the port could execute - so I was able to add them to a call route in advance.

    You can add any numbers you want to the DID Ranges and set them up with Call Routes...they don't have to be "real" DID numbers when created.
