  • 1.  Benefits of Dialing group "Site vs Edge"

    Hi All, 

    Hoping someone can shed some light on the best practices for "Progressive dialing" 

    Currently i have options either to chose "Site" or "Edge"

    I'm not familiar with this and hoping someone can provide examples and benefits vs disadvantages for using either Site or Edge for dialing group.

    Our Edge is currently controlled by Genesys.

    I am not sure this really matters that much, especially if you are Genesys Cloud Voice, but if you do have TIE lines or Outbound lines in a single Edge Group and you want your outbound dialing dedicated to these lines, then you would choose Edge and the Edge Group with these trunks.  If you want to dial based on dialing plans, then you would choose Site and the Site with the dial plans you want for these calls.
