    Hola Community.

    Is there a best practice when it comes to inactive clients and re-using existing DID numbers?  I need to set up a few new clients and I'm wavering between re-using some numbers from previous clients or just getting new numbers and starting fresh?

    Thoughts?

    I would say there is no single answer to this. It depends on how wide spread the DID's were known internally and to the outside world and how often the numbers were being called. If you give back the DID's to the carrier they will eventually be handed out to another company. So, you also need to consider if that is that acceptable. The alternative is to keep them on the shelf or as you mention re-use them internally. DID's are not that expensive. I would hold on to them for at least a while.
