  • 1.  Beta in Playground/Lab? Risks?

    Hello, 

    Has anyone completed beta in their lab/playground environment? Is that something Genesys will allow/entertain? 

    I think joining beta for the new navigation UI would be very beneficial for my org but there is great concern about risks to our production. I want to get a better idea of what kind of risks or issues others have had when participating in beta (of any kind) and if it can be done in a lab environment so I can present to my leadership with options and ideas.

    Hi Andrea,

    We've done several betas in lab environment.

    Since you're considering joining the beta that changes the UI, I would start in lab environment and maybe later join production when the option to disable/enable the new UI becomes available.

    That sounds like a great plan. I am writing up a proposal to present to my leadership regarding joining beta so all the information is helpful.  We have a lot of end users that struggle with adaptation so we will need to prep a lot for this one. I read mid-october-ish, would this mean everyone must be up on it then, or that is when we will be able to change permissions to opt in on production. I create captivated simulations for the new phone UI and it was very well received so this is my plan for the new navigation UI. Could the product owner share more screen shots of the new sidebar and anything else they have available? I tried zooming in to read the new categories on the left side, and its tough to read. Thank you!!
