    Is there a way to assign or remove a role to a group of users at one time?  They are all in one division and one location?

    You can assign roles to a Group, and they assign to all members of the Group.

    You need to figure out the best Inclusion setting (or, if need be, add all the members one-by-one)

    George response is spot on.  For best practices, design your user access based on user groups and permissions required.  Each group should have a role assigned to that group.  Your users should be added to the groups per the permissions each user requires.  Groups can also have additional roles assigned to a single group if that makes it easier for you. If users require additional permissions which are already defined they can be members of multiple groups such as Agent and Supervisor.  The role/group for agent has all the permissions for answering call, chat, email...  The supervisor may only have permissions to run reports listen to calls etc.  If your sups need to be able to process calls in addition to their sup duties they would be a member of both groups.  Should you need delineation of permissions across divisions the groups can be division specific.  I also recommend the naming for your roles and groups be the same.  This makes it very easy to associate the roles to the groups.

    Notwithstanding George's workaround unfortunately, unlike PureConnect, the Roles<->Users relationship can only be viewed / managed from the User's end. It seems to me that seeing what Users have a Role as well as what Roles a User has would be useful.

    There are other "relationships" (I believe the correct term is "dependencies") that are only visible from one end in Genesys Cloud. (Group membership is another example, as is Skill assignment.) Oddly, Queue membership is "bidirectional".

    I suggest you check the Ideas site and, if there isn't already an Idea for this, create one!

    That said...if you click on a specific Role under Admin>People & Permissions>Roles / Permissions, then Change Membership, you can add/remove a bunch of users at once. The drop-down Search options let you pull up users by Group, Division, Reports To, Location, Skill, and Language which aids in deciding which users you want. Ticking the checkbox in the header of the returned list of users selects/deselects all found, and then you can select/deselect individuals in the list.

    Cool, I didn't know they had added that (even though it's in a rather odd place! Wouldn't it have made more sense to have been a tab? Heh ho...)

    Now we just need a similar ability for Skills and so on! 😁
