    Hello guys.

    Today i received a complaint from a client stating that the number we provided to route the calls to the agents has a fast busy tone. This number is the only one with this issue. all of the other numbers we have for other clients are working fine. 

    the number was recently ported in to us from the client side. 

    Any idea of what could be triggering this fast busy tone?

    We can not receive calls because of this.

    I would validate 1) who owns the number - to ensure that nothing went wrong in the porting process and 2) that you can see the call coming in.

    Where you look for 2 would depend upon your topology. You simply want Wireshark/Edge logs or something similar. Ideally I would start at the first demarcation point in your environment to make sure the call is being delivered correctly.​

    Issue was related to the carrier when the number was ported. 

    The issue got fixed
