    Hello, everybody

I've seen some questions about the best way to take the Genesys Cloud certifications, so I'm collecting information related to that here. Some information can be found in answers in other posts, I just want to have it together in one place. I'm also add links to some resources. You need an Education subscription to access some of these resources.

What follows is the current information available, it could change in the future:

    1) First, all certifications can be found here:

    https://education.genesys.com/explore/certification/cloud

To register, click the link with the certification name. The course name links will take you to the page where you enroll in those courses.

The best way to start is with the Genesys Cloud Professional (GCP) certification because it involves the basic Core courses that may be prerequisite to the other courses (Implementation, Contact Center Administration and Reporting and Analytics).

This is where you have to be careful, as the prerequisite courses may also be in the other certifications. For instance, Implementation and Contact Center Admin courses are prerequisite to the API course, so there are questions about them in the Genesys Cloud Developer (GCD) certification.
Contact Center Admin course is prerequisite to the Specialist certifications (Architect, Script, etc...), so you get questions about it in those certifications as well.

Important--> When you enroll in a certification you receive a Study Guide. It will show you which courses are included in that certification.

    2) The Specialist certifications can be done in any order. But one of them may be a prerequisite to another. In that case it may be better to do them in order.

    3) You can take the certifications following your role's learning path. You can find learning paths here:

    https://education.genesys.com/explore/learning-path/home

Click your role. In the next page, click "Sign in" next to "Existing Genesys Education Subscriber?" (requires subscription). Then the courses for your chosen learning path will appear.

    4) If you have a subscription, there is a GCP Preparation Workshop (1 day) that provides questions about the 3 core courses (Implementation, Contact Center Administration and Reporting and Analytics) to help checking if you are good to go or what you have to study more. Link:

    https://education.genesys.com/explore/course/16449

    5) There are free preparation exams for the certifications in the Webassessor webpage. Go to:
    https://www.webassessor.com/wa.do?page=login&branding=GENESYS

Create an account and login (sometimes the captcha fails - reload the page and try again).

After login in, click "Register for an Exam" and click register in the Practice Exam of your choice. Notice that it says "Practice Exam" in its name and says "Free" below its name.

These are questions created by the Certification team so you have an idea about what to expect in the real exam.

    6) While studying, remember you can ask questions to the "Ask Me Anything" AI in the Orchestrator page:

    https://orchestrators.genesys.com/home?product=genesys-cloud-cx

    7) Besides courses and ebooks you can study using the Resource Center:

    https://help.genesys.cloud/

After you enroll in the certification exam, the Study Guide you'll receive has links to the Resource Center (and maybe other pages) with the content included in the certification. Even if you study with the courses ebooks, use the links to be sure you covered all the content.

Let me know if I forgot anything.

    Hi, Carolyn

You can start by focusing only on the Professional Certification (GCP). It covers the content from the 3 basic courses (Implementation, Contact Center Administration and Reporting and Analytics). After studying the content from the 3 courses you can take the free practice exam to see if you are ready for the actual certification (point 5 in the original post).

When you enroll in the certification you will receive a study guide with its details and all the content you have to study to prepare.

Optionally you can attend the workshop (point 4 in the original post) which will give you over 50 questions covering those 3 courses. The goal is to identify which topics are not yet clear to you.

After the GCP Certification you can take any of the other certifications according to your goals.

    Hi Mário ,

Excellent summary. I'd add a few additional tips that helped me while working through multiple Genesys Cloud certifications:

    8) Don't skip the hands-on experience

While the courses and study guides are essential, many certification questions are scenario-based. If possible, spend some time in a Genesys Cloud org configuring features such as Architect flows, queues, routing methods, users, permissions, and reporting. Understanding why a feature is used is often more valuable than memorizing where it is configured.

    9) Use the Study Guide as a checklist

The Study Guide is more than a list of courses. I found it useful to go through each exam objective and mark whether I could explain the concept, identify the correct use case, and understand any related dependencies. This quickly highlights knowledge gaps before scheduling the exam.

    10) Review prerequisite topics even if they belong to another certification

As you mentioned, several certifications build on foundational content. I've seen candidates focus only on the certification-specific courses and overlook concepts from GCP, Contact Center Administration, or Implementation that still appear in the exam context.

    11) Read Resource Center articles for recent feature updates

Course material is excellent for learning concepts, but the Resource Center can help reinforce terminology, configuration options, limitations, and best practices that may appear in certification questions.

    12) Schedule the exam soon after completing the training

One mistake I've seen is waiting several months after finishing the courses. Taking the exam while the material is still fresh can significantly improve retention and confidence.

    13) Verify your Beyond subscription and Webassessor access early

Before your target exam date, make sure you can access training content, register for practice exams, and see the certification exam in Webassessor. Resolving account or enrollment issues ahead of time helps avoid last-minute stress.

Thanks for putting all of this together. Having the certification roadmap, study resources, practice exams, and preparation guidance in one post will be very helpful for anyone starting their Genesys certification journey.
