    I've been messing around with the collaborate mobile app on android and iphone.  Even though I tell the app to use push notifications, I am not getting push notifications once the app is no longer the active focus on the phone.  I've found this to be true on the android and iphone apps.  Additionally, there appears to be a time out on the login which furthers the issue.

    Has anyone had success getting the push notifications to work on either phone while it's not the focused application or open?

    Make sure you are in the Away status when the app is not in focus on your phone. That's what most folks I know do.

    Hi Brandon. Can I assume that you are using Collaborate on both mobile and desktop/web? I hope it's helpful if I share a little more about how notifications work in PureCloud Collaborate (as summarized in the FAQ, Collaborate for iOS FAQ - PureCloud Resource Center):

    How do notifications sync between the mobile app and the desktop or browser apps?

    • When your presence in the desktop or browser app is Online or Busy, notifications do not push to your mobile device (unless the mobile app is open).
    • When your presence in the desktop or browser app is Away or Offline, notifications push to your mobile device (even if the mobile app is not open).
    • Notifications continue to push to your mobile device when the mobile app is closed. You must log out of the mobile app to stop receiving mobile notifications.

    Thank you both for the additional information.  

    Here's what I've found.
    If I'm "Online" and go "Offline" the system does not push notifications.
    If I go to "Away" (thanks for the tip), then the system puts me "Offline" it will continue to push notifications.

    Now that we have an understanding how that works, I think we're good.  Appreciate the feedback.
