  • 1.  Coming Soon: Refresh of Architect UI with Dark Mode!

    Architect will be receiving a series of user interface (UI) enhancements to deliver a more modern, consistent, and visually refined experience. As part of this update, Architect will adopt the Genesys Cloud navigation experience introduced last year, bringing it into alignment with the broader platform.

    These updates focus on visual design only. Workflows, functionality, and core interactions remain unchanged. Users will also benefit from the addition of Dark Mode, offering greater flexibility and comfort.

    This update is targeted to roll out in May, including the new navigation experience, visual refresh, improved accessibility, and Dark Mode. We have shared some early previews in this thread to give a glimpse of what is coming.

    What to Expect

    • UI-only changes with no impact to workflows or functionality
    • Adoption of the Genesys Cloud new top navigation experience
    • A more modern, consistent, and accessible design
    • Dark Mode for improved viewing comfort

    Really great to see this - Dark Mode is going to make a big difference day to day. I'm sure a lot of people in the community will appreciate having the option, especially for long sessions. Looking forward to it rolling out.

    Hi Lisa,

    Thank you for the heads-up on the upcoming UI change in May.  

    I have a few questions:
     
    • Will there be a beta version available?
    • Will dark mode be available across all screens in Architect?
    • I noticed a "New UI" toggle in the upper-right (image below).  Is this intended for individual users to enable the new UI?
    • Will there be a system-level option to enable or control the availability of this new dark mode feature?

    Hey Rainbow Soo,

    I've answered your questions below!

    • Will there be a beta version available?
      • Not beta as such but we will have that New UI switch available for a period of 90 days if you would like to revert, although we are confident you'll love the new look.
    • Will dark mode be available across all screens in Architect?
      • Yes, for now it's restricted only to all screens within Architect, rather than wider on Genesys Cloud, but they will all be covered.
    • I noticed a "New UI" toggle in the upper-right (image below).  Is this intended for individual users to enable the new UI?
      • It will be on by default, but you can revert if you like for a period of 90 days.
    • Will there be a system-level option to enable or control the availability of this new dark mode feature?
      • All users will have a toggle to turn on or off Light or Dark mode as they choose, this is the Sun and Moon icon that you see in the top right corner. There is no system level setting available to turn this off for users.

    Really nice update. The new Architect UI in dark mode feels more modern, cleaner, and easier on the eyes during longer sessions.
