  • 1.  Composite Slot in Genesys Cloud Bot Flow

    Hi experts,

    I have a requirement for creating a Slot which can take a date input (Voice & DTMF) as well as it can take an input like "I do not know". In order to achieve this, I was thinking if there is a way to create Composite/Custom slots which can take builtin:date as well as "I do not know" input. Is there a way to achieve this by using a single Custom slot? If yes, need help to make one, if no, what is the best way to achieve the same.

    Hi Anwita,

    It is not a supported feature at the moment.  If there is not a Aha idea at the moment, please can you make one and we can look further into this for you.  We are looking at improving slots at the moment but would be good to know how important this is for all customers/partners.  Thanks

    We achieved the above by Using Intent and then associating the utterance of the Intent with the Date Slot. Then used "Ask for Intent" in architect flow to gather the input and then  differentiate based on isNotSetOrEmpty(Slot variable)
