I am not aware of any way to disable that feature. If this is a new feature that you would like to see in Genesys Cloud, Genesys encourages you to register your request through the Product Ideas Lab.
To Access the Product Ideas Lab and add your idea:
- Sign in to the Genesys Knowledge Network.
- On the Product Ideas Lab section, click Browse and Submit Ideas.
- From the Product Ideas Lab, click Add a Product Idea.

Is there a way to disable advanced mic features in the desktop client either by default or to set them as desired via the registry or the admin portal?
We've found that one or all of the advanced mic features tend to cause problems in our calls. We're still troubleshooting which one or if it's a conflict with a Windows setting, but for now, it would be nice if I could turn them off for everyone without asking each user to change their own settings.
