Good Day Tyler
Correct, a pairing ID is required to register the premise edge with your cloud org. I'm not sure that these Meraki devices are supported as Edge devices on Genesys cloud.
Please see link regarding Genesys cloud premise devices and hardware - https://help.mypurecloud.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Genesys-Cloud-Edge-StandardV3-Setup-QR-LCD.pdf? This is HP servers which you could previously buy through Genesys which is no longer possible.
I have included this link from resource center where its mentioned that the premises edge devices will no longer be supported from December 2026 - https://help.genesys.cloud/announcements/genesys-cloud/deprecation-byoc-premises-genesys-hardware-solution/
https://community.genesys.com/discussion/dl360dl380-gen11-support-for-premise-edge-customer-hardware-solution
Genesys shared the following 2 options and recommends transitioning to either of these options - BYOC Cloud or Genesys Cloud Voice
Hope this helps, happy to answer any other questions that you might have.
Regards

Subject: Configuring Edge Devices
Hello!
Background: My org is currently looking to expand our current scope of work, we have a centralized call center team that handles a majority of our scheduling calls for our practices. We are trying to get a better understanding of what it might look like if we moved our practice staff onto the genesys platform as well. The majority of our sites currently use a Meraki MX68CW or similar device as their edge device.
Challenge: I was looking into building a mock site to understand how we would go about launching a site onto genesys. I built a location and 2 sites, 1 cloud based and 1 premises based. If I'm understanding correctly, we could launch the site and have genesys control the edge infrastructure if we choose cloud. However, we already have the above meraki devices in each practice. When I was trying to set up the premises based site it is asking for a pairing ID, I cannot find anything like that with this device. The documentation in the resource center also has not been very helpful.
Questions: I am wondering if the meraki devices are an acceptable/compatible device? and if so, how would I enable a device within our org to accept calls? Other than creating a location, linking it to a site, and then adding devices to those sites am I missing any other glaringly obvious steps to deploy a device? It feels relatively straight forward, but hoping that I'm not over simplifying the process.
Thanks!
