Hello,

When Copilot generates a summary, does that summary data that's stored with the conversation get retained for the lifecycle of the interaction retention? Or, is that deleted based off the associated recording policy (if one exists) for that interaction? Or, is there a different timer?

Would love to learn more about this.

I do believe they exist for a bit longer than the interaction as they can be used by the analytics API /api/v2/analytics/summaries/aggregates/jobs. As far as how long that I am not sure of.

That checks out. However, because these summaries may contain personal information, it is important for organizaitons to be able to control this retention, or have the capability to delete summaries. Is that possible? I don't see any api endpoints that exist to delete a summary.

A feature you will probably find useful is coming probably end of Q2 which will allow you to give "instructions" to to shape the auto-summarization, part of which will be the ability to prevent PII from being included in the summary.
