    Does anyone know if you can use the custom fields in data tables or in architect?

    If you look up an external contact using the Get External Contact action, no you cannot use the custom fields.  If you look it up using a Call Data Action, yes you can as long as you included it in the output contract.
    The Data Table Lookup action can see every field in the selected row.
