  • 1.  Dashboard using chrome browser not updating properly

    Customer is reporting dashboard isn't updating correctly for their dashboard using chrome browser. They have to clear cache for it to sync with the recent information. It appears when using the application version the issue doesn't really happen. Is this a common issue reported for using the dashboard on browsers?

    Hi Jason,

    The most common cause for this is having multiple tabs/browser windows logged in. Why do multiple concurrent Genesys Cloud logins cause problems?

    This is due to the notification channels timing out and not updating until the connection is refreshed, as users have a maximum of 20 Notification channels and if this is exceeded it closes the oldest channel which would stop the real-time updates.

    They said its only one tab opened for the browser as they use it to monitor on a big screen.

    Is it being left open for a long time, as the other thing the Notification Channels do is time out after 24 hours - Channels remain active for 24 hours. To maintain a channel for longer than 24 hours, resubscribe to topics. so you would need to refresh it every 24 hours and it would have to be a separate login used so as not to have the multiple logins issue.

    If its timing out earlier than this and is a unique account logged in, it would probably be worth raising a ticket with Genesys Product Support and to capture Network and Console logs covering the period where the Dashboard stops updating.
