  • 1.  Delay in connecting to external number

    Hi 

    I have configured a external BYOC Generic Trunk to connect to an external number. Everything is working fine however there is a delay of 7 secs while connecting to the number. I have configured the Inbound Architect Flow with no menues, removed any announcements, blanks etc however still we have a dead air for 7 secs. Is there anything on the trunk side I have to configure ?

    You should analyze the .pcap file from an outbound call to see if it gives you any insights. Sounds like a call setup issue.

    Yes George. It was related to site configurations. We actually configured a separate site and number plan for the outbound route for the trunk. Since we were calling the the GCV Number, it was seeking routes from the default site and then going to the AWS Trunk first. We then configured the number plan and outbound route in the default site itself, and now there is no delay.
