  • 1.  Disable Autofill Options

    Is there a way to disable the autofill popup feature for Genesys Desktop?  When we try to transfer a call or do other simple operations while call handling. Instead of just getting the auto filtered queues, we get the autofill feature popup that gets in the way and slows down the speed of our agent call handling because they can't see the list under it.  More of an annoyance than anything else but it would be nice to not see that.

    .  I can't find a way to turn it off.  Anyone know of a way?

    Hey Wendy,

    That looks like it may be the autocomplete from the browser. Have you tried disabling autofill in the browser?

    Hi Jason,

    Yeah we tried that and made sure it was turned off in Chrome and Edge and it still shows up.  We use the Genesys Desktop only; it doesn't make sense to me where it is storing the cached data.  My test was calling myself from Genesys, hit Transfer button, did a search for a known person or queue that started with the letter "t" (because my first attempt I didn't have a list, no previous searches I guess) transferred the call.  Made a second call using the same steps and this time when I typed "t" I immediately get the popup list, the list was born.  It has to be hiding somewhere, even if I can get the cache to clear would be better than no options at all.  Any other thoughts?  Thanks for the reply.

    Hi Wendy,

    That certainly does sound odd. My mind immediately went to this being a browser issue but as you've pointed out, you're using the Desktop version. I would recommend reaching out to Customer Care to have one of our UI Engineers take a look at what is going on with the auto-fill box popping up. I would recommend collecting some console and network logs and submitting them when you open a case with the team.

    Please let me know what they are able to find!
