Does somebody know if disabling the "MUTE" button (embedded client and/or Full UI) is possible?

I believe this is possible within the embedded client. I don't think its possible within the full UI. 

Take a look at this documentation, there is more documentation here and here. 

As for the UI it maybe something that we can provide as a feature enhancement. You can make this request here.

No permission to turn it off, but the callControls in the Embedded Framework that allows you to specify what controls are available with an Array.
