    Hi All,

     New user to the community so please be gentle! Looking for some advice on the Chet functionality - is it possible to disable Chat, either for all users in one group or for particular users?

    You could try to create a role without the chat permission....

    All of the roles assigned to the group/individuals I'm looking at have no chat permission enabled, yet they can still use it - is this a bug?

    I don't work with internal chat set up often, but I don't think there are any permissions related to using internal chat. The one internal chat permission I see on the permissions list is Chat > File > Delete, and it allows administrators to delete any file uploaded to a chat room. The other chat permissions I see listed are related to web chat, screen share, and co-browse

    I don't think there is a way from the UI to disable chat. I think the only thing you can disable in internal chats is file uploads. There someone else, such as Customer care, your customer success manager, or another community member, who might be able to provide some guidance or solutions for your organization.

    Thanks Jordan - I thought that this might be the case, was more looking to find out if anyone had found a way to work around it as I'd previously checked the permissions and roles route.

     Perhaps a suggested product improvement if it's not possible?
