  • 1.  Display an image inline inside Web Messaging sessions

    Posted an hour ago

    Hi all,

I'm trying to establish the ways of displaying an image inline inside a web messaging session. So, rather than providing a URL for the client to click and open another page, we just render it inside the messenger window.

We are not using the Web Messaging APIs / SDK for sending messages, we are constructing flows through Architect, so I'm limited to the tools available natively.

I know that we can use a Carousel / Card to display an image, although I'm not sure you can make these so they're just informational (i.e. don't need any customer interaction)?

I also see inside a Digital Bot Flow, we can use the Rich Text Builder to add an image inline. This is working well, and it allows the client to expand or download the image.

As far as I can see, there is no similar function available inside a Inbound Message flow?

Are there any other alternatives to these two?

    Hi James,

From my understanding, I don't believe there are any additional native options beyond the ones you've already identified.

There was a similar discussion a while back where the recommended approach was to upload the image to Response Assets, reference it from a Digital Bot Flow, and then call that Digital Bot Flow from your Inbound or In-Queue Message Flow. It appears this is still the supported approach today.
