Unfortunately we can only download individual emails at UI level. The conversations should end up being threaded, so while the download is performed one-by-one all related emails should end up in one interaction record. If you are looking for an output which shows the entire email thread in a single EML file, I'm afraid this is not readily available.
I'd like to think there's a workaround at API level since you can use the API to retrieve interactions in bulk. In that regard, there might already be an AppFoundry solution for this use case. Curious - is this a hard requirement your customer is looking for?
