HI there guys

Is there any way of having a script contain a value obtained from a Data Action and have that refreshed say every 10 seconds?  What I'm thinking of is having buttons to Consult Transfer to a particular queue, but I'd like to have text beside those buttons indicating whether there are any idle agents on those destination queues.  Obviously they can see that information if they use the out of the box consult-transfer buttons but I'm trying to resolve some bad behaviour patterns.

Hi Vaun,

You may want to experiment with an embedded web page in the script. You could load one that uses the implicit oauth grant and provides these controls via the API. I don't know if it would work, but it might be your best best.

I don't think what you want to do would be possible in a script alone.

I agree.  Variables are static and populated when script is run or when a data action is called.  I would also suggest an iFrame of a simple web page with the counter in it.
