    Hello Team,
Greetings. Instead of using my organizations SMTP server to send emails(due to some limitations) I want to use Amazon SES to send the emails. I have my Org's domain and want to use the same. could someone please guide me how to integrate the Genesys Cloud Email service with Amazon SES and Domain sever.

1> Whether I have to generate TXT/MX/CNAME/DKIM records on the Genesys Email config platform and configure it in my Orgs domain server.
2>Whether I have to generate TXT/MX/Cname/DKIM records on the AWS platform and configure it in my Orgs Domain server. (or both 1 & 2)
3> Where I have to mention the  hostname/port number/SMTP username/SMTP password to use the Amazon SES service. On Genesys Email config page I could see only Use My Org's SMTP server for sending Outbound email(Admin>>Integration).  Is that mean, I can configure Amazon SES SMTP instead of My Org's SMTP server and use it.

    Thanks in advance..!!!

    Regards,
    Dev Gawande.

    HI Devand

Did you check this links from amazon ?

    https://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/dg/mail-from.html

    https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/set-custom-mail-configuration/

Depending on the region you have your org, you need to setup MX Records in one or other way

We have recently increased email SMTP out capacity to up to 40 MB for your info

Let me know if this helps

    Regards

    Alberto

    Hello Alberto,

Thanks a lot for your help. I could able to configure the same. I have a observation.

1>The FROM address is showing correct but its showing  >>> <abc@org.com> via amazonses.com.  Is there any way to remove the extra part: via amazonses.com
2> I don't see any  "counter getting increment" for sent email. The sent email counts still showing 0/200.  I sent couple of emails but still the counter is 0. I am not sure if I am missing anything or such emails wont follow the counter.
    PFA stats from aws console.
    Thanks.

Amazon SES will send emails through their own IP addresses and domains. You will need to add DNS records to your main domain (that should be provide by AWS to you) In order to ensure deliverability, avoid phishing reports, and create a reporting path.

The cool thing is that AWS SES gives you an SMTP interface, meaning you should be able to configure this with the instructions Alberto gave you.

We provide an Advanced Email app for Genesys Cloud, so I know the email space very well. Are you unable to send emails through your domain's SMTP because you are using Office 365 and have a daily limit?
