  • 1.  Exporting Time-Off Requests

    Posted 2 days ago

    Hi,

Genesys have recently updated the time off request tab in Workforce Management --> Scheduling and when I export someone's time off requests it exports dates as mm/dd/yyyy. Most countries use dd/mm/yyyy. Previously it did build the csv in such a way that excel would no to change the date to dd/mm/yyyy. Can this be looked at or is there any setting I've missed that allows me to change it so the date does come up as dd/mm/yyyy.

    Thanks

    James

    Hi @James Learmonth,

From what I've seen, the CSV export format for Time-Off Requests is currently controlled by the Genesys application and not by the user or organization locale settings. If the recent UI update changed the export to MM/DD/YYYY, it may be a product change rather than a configurable option.

One thing worth checking is whether Excel is automatically interpreting the date format based on your regional settings. If you open the CSV through Data → From Text/CSV instead of double-clicking the file, you may be able to control how the date columns are parsed and displayed.

If the export itself is now generating dates in MM/DD/YYYY regardless of locale, I would recommend opening a case with Genesys Cloud Support or submitting a Product Idea, as many customers outside North America expect DD/MM/YYYY formatting in exports.

Has anyone else noticed this behavior after the recent WFM Scheduling update?

    Regards,
